Who I am
I’ve always had a keen eye for all things design and from a young age knew my future had to involve the world of visual communication. So in 1997 and following my British education at an international school in Spain, I left my native island of Mallorca to train as a graphic designer in the UK.
After graduating at Nottingham Trent University I worked in-house at Boots on day to day store design and promotions, specific campaigns like Mother’s or Valentine’s Day. As a result it's likely that you, as thousands across the UK, will have seen my design work at some point in your life!
Following my time at Boots, I worked at a number of design agencies looking after a range of clients and briefs covering dog food to office sheds. However, after nearly a decade of working for others, in March 2008, I took the plunge and set up on my own and I now provide graphic design for businesses and run kuku apps.
My varied experience means I understand the realities of getting things done in business as well as what businesses require from their designer. I know too well, the pressures that my clients face because I run my own business so I deliver on time and within budget.
When I'm not working or attached to my iPhone/iPad/Mac - I’ll take the opportunity to be active: going to spin classes, running, mountain biking and hiking regularly. I've just taken up swimming too…
I love the challenge of adrenaline inducing activities and so far I've had a go at a few: paragliding, pot holing, running 10K races, running a couple of half marathons, 10K wet and muddy assault course, off road sprint duathlon, scuba-diving, wind surfing, dinghy sailing, hiking the UK's 3 peaks (separately), white water rafting, snowboarding, karate, kick boxing, kung fu, go karting, quad biking, 4x4 off road driving, completing a grade 4 via ferrata, rock climbing, scrambling, jet boating, bungy swinging…
Alternatively, I do enjoy putting my feet up whilst enjoying tapas with a glass of good Rioja!
